Milo nuggets homemade

This is a blog on Milo nuggets homemade. Milo nuggets are sweet snacks a bit like Maltesers. It is a more intense version of drinking Milo. A taste of crunchy chocolate melts in your mouth. I have not long ago discovered Milo nuggets in which I actually got some but I much prefer this homemade version. Mainly just because it is freshly made rather than in the packet which normally is about to expire. It is what one can get when living abroad as they are so costly to buy then when one buys there are only a few months left before the product expires. They’re available in most countries except Europe. Found them by chance from specialist importers here in the UK, not in supermarkets. I then decide to make my own homemade version.

Homemade Milo nuggets

It is possible to replicate the taste as one can get hold of Milo here in the UK. Also by using fresh ingredients it taste much fresher. I had a look around what is on google search and come out with my own ideas of what to use for the ingredients. Do feel free to adjust the recipe accordingly.

Recipe Homemade Milo nuggets

Makes about 20 bite size portions

4-5 tbsps of Milo powder

200 grams amaretti biscuits crushed

2 tbsp dark brown or coconut sugar

180 grams of dark chocolate bar

3 tbsp chocolate powder

4-5 tbsps of milk

Ingredients

Method

In a mixing bowl mix all the ingredients (except milk) together till it forms like a dough-like mixture. Slowly add the milk to bind the dough together. Once the dough is bound together divide the dough into bite-size portions. Lay them on a baking tray. Bake at 180 degrees Celcius for about 15 minutes till it is cooked/hardened but not burned. Let it cool down and enjoy.

Thank you for reading and dropping. Have a look at my other recipes like a chocolate brownie and chocolate mousse.

  1. Hi, I’m going to try your recipe, thank you! Can I ask – do you chop the chocolate and add or do you melt the chocolate to make the dough?
