  • a Wok or frying pan or pot


  • 1 medium size onion chopped finely
  • 3 cloves garlic chopped finely
  • 300 grams cooked rice chilled
  • 200 grams cherry tomatoes halved
  • 3 stalks of spring onion finely sliced
  • 200 grams firm tofu cut into rectangle squares of 2cm X 1cm
  • 1 tbsp cooking oil
  • 1 tbsp sesame oil
  • 1 tsp low salt soya sauce


Cooking tomato and tofu fried rice

  • In a frying pan, wok or pot heat up the cooking oil. then add the chopped onion and the white parts of the sliced spring onion. Fry for about 3 minutes on medium heat till it softens. Then add the chopped garlic and fry till fragrant.
    after that, add the halved tomatoes and tofu fry for about1 minute then add the cooked and chilled rice. finally season with sesame oil and soya sauce.
